This seal utilises silicon carbide for its seal surfaces.

Silicon Carbide is more abrasion-resistant than the carbon graphite and ceramic used in standard seals.

Silicon Carbide also runs cooler if the pump is run dry, improving the life of the seal.

This is the standard seal fitted to the 9303S & 9306S stainless pumps
